Smells like bourbon and tweed and cigars. The last bits of nighttime turning into dawn. Silent and still. I love a good (or even decent) pinot. Yes, this is because I’ve seen Sideways a gazillion times. No, I am not sorry.

It’s got a thick and chewy texture, with smoky flavors that stick around like last night’s cigarettes. Velvet and corduroy. Autumn leaves and trout. All of it confusingly wonderful. Simple. Dignified. I’d like to wrap a bowtie around my next bottle.
